The Mediterranean sea is at one hour driving with the historic town of Aigues mortes. It is a port built by the crusader king Louis IX (St Louis) in 1240. It is surrounded by perfectly preserved walls and towers which protect the beautifully laid out town from the salty winds. Around it are the beaches of Palavas, Mauguio, Grande Motte and Grau du roi. We visiting our camp site you can reach the sea within an hour drive.
